About the company :

Alambic has been founded by Sabine Jaren and François Lurton, winemakers and owners of estates in France and abroad with a long wine family tradition.

François incarnates the 4th generation of one of the biggest Bordeaux wine families, descended from distillers, producing wines since 1897.

In 1850, Léonce Récapet - great-grandfather of François Lurton - bought a distillery in Branne, Gironde. He sold this distillery to buy his first winery : Château Bonnet, first step of the Lurton dynasty into wine.

In late 2016, François Lurton decided to diversify his business by relaunching the distilling activity inherited from his great-grandfather. This Distilled Gin was designed to be a link between wine and spirits.

With the revival of Cocktail scene, Vermouth is making a powerful comeback and it is naturally the expression of a family tradition: Léonce Récapet, was an inventive distiller who was always experimenting with the latest advances in the world of wine and spirits. Francois brought his expertise to create a range of unique Vermouths.
